Matthew E. Palmer is the managing attorney and principal of Palmer Rodak & Associates and is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Matthew has served as a Pro Tem Judge at the Superior Court in Vista since 2003 and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the North County Bar Association, and the North County Certified Family Law Specialist group. Matthew has extensive experience in family law and general civil litigation. Matthew's practice also includes probate, conservatorships, guardianships, estate planning, and drafting of wills and trusts. He has developed a successful civil litigation practice representing private individuals in various personal injury and other civil matters since in 1998. Matthew earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1996 where he was awarded the prestigious American Jurisprudence award in Civil Procedure.
Before law school, Matthew worked for several years in sales and management for a Fortune 500 company in the area of industrial plastic. Matthew graduated from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Arts in History, with an emphasis on European History. As a student, Matthew was the aide to the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives of Connecticut in 1990. Matthew has a third-degree black belt in Soo Bahk Doo Mu Duk Kwan, traditional Korean Karate, and has trained in the martial arts for 24 years. Matthew also enjoys practicing hot yoga and spending time on the beach with his family.
